Product Description & Reviews
Port Salut is a smooth, delectable cheese made in the province of Brittany on the west coast of France. Made from pasteurized cow's milk, the cheese was produced by Trappist monks way back in during the 19th century. Though Port Salut has a mild flavor, it sometimes has a strong smell because it is a mature cheese. The smell increases the longer the cheese is kept this however does not affect its flavor. It can be refrigerated and is best eaten within two weeks of openingMild and slightly tangy flavor, similar to American-made Monterey Jack.
